When clicking through the menus, it sometimes takes 2 or 3 clicks for the menu to stay expanded. It will quick popup and disappear immediately.

Any attempt to move 2048 to my 2nd monitor causes it to snap back to the middle of my primary monitor.

this leads to a file in ~/.config/xiaoyong/ location, non obvious.

Cant it be replaced with something "better"?

Why isn't there an Undo button? Mobile versions of 2048 tend to have one.

Sometimes, this game can take quite a long time, so it would be nice, if the current state could be saved, when closing the window.

I am having an Intel Atom Netbook with a resolution of 1024x600. Poorly 2048-Qt is to large for such screen, a smaller scale will only result in seeing part of the game.

Would be nice if 2048-Qt would run on such screens fine, too.

Can you please make labels of other game modes (like Degree, Military Rank etc.) in English and translatable?

As you may have noticed, this package is not well maintained, the last change to the code was 7 years ago. I was thinking about working on it a bit. So I took your pull requests, looked through them, made a few minor edits, and merged them on my fork (while retaining your authorship).

With support for qt5 ending next year, there is still a lot of work to be done on this project. Unfortunately, I don't have much time to explore the secrets of qt. If you want and have some time, you could submit your pull requests on my fork. I could review them, test them and link them if they improve anything.

This is not an official repository transfer, merely an offer to keep the project in a usable condition.

What do you (people and contributors) think?

Sorry for the petty comment but trying to improve the linux world as a whole, a brick at a time.

2048-qt icon resides in the 'games' category of the main distro menu launcher. It should reside in a game subcategory such as 'games -> strategy'.
This is under Plasma, I presume the same would apply to other distributions if 2048-qt doesn't have a tag set for this purpose.

Hi! I maintain a Gentoo overlay, what's on my Github repos, so Gentoo (and other Gentoo-based users) can install 2048-qt. Just add my overlay with Layman (which must be installed first):

layman -a jorgicio

And install it:

emerge 2048-qt

And done.
