This extension for Contao simulates Google's search engine results pages (SERPs). Enter page title, description, and alias of your web page, and this extension will generate a virtual search result listing based on your input.

How to use?

Go to Content->Site structure in your Contao Back-End and edit a page. For regular page types you will find a new palette right after Meta Information. At first the preview is filled with dummy data. As soon as you edit page alias, title, or description the title, description, and URL will update accordingly. The title will be cut of at 70 characters. The description at 160 characters.

Doubled content for the page alias

The extension shows the page alias twice, with the first missing it’s last letter. See attached image for better description ;)

Throws JS error on Page Root

Adapt fonts

font-family: arial,sans-serif;

Show page root title

If the title of the page is to short to be filled entirely the title of the root page needs to be added.

Wrong link in Contao Extension Repository

Hey, the link in the ER is set to this extension: https://github.com/wschwaiger/qwat-gks rather than qwat-ser-preview.

Domain name is not displayed correctly

If more then one domain is hosted on a system the preview does not use the domain name from the page tree - hochkoenigman.at/kumpellauf.com
