interest in d3 graphs

Re: geography, the Chloropeth / Chloropeth on Canvas look useful. Where are my sources writing from? The Zoomable Map & Geographical Hexbins could also be very useful.

Re: chronology, visuals that show frequency at a certain moment of time could be helpful, like the Circular Heat Chart.

Re: basic breakdown of data -- the Gradient Pie, the Champions Analysis re: soccer (next to the Gradient Pei), and really all of the basic charts are potentially useful.

But when the project gets deeper, integrating content analysis (on Atlas TI) with the demographic data, some of the more demonstrative graphics could be useful. For example, let's say Canadian soldiers are more likely than U.S. soldiers or German soldiers to write about the enemy. It might be interesting to demonstrate how frequently they discuss the enemy, and under what circumstances (after battle, during training, while in the trenches, etc.). For something like that, maybe the Parallel Sets graph (used on Titanic survivors in the sample) could be used: Soldiers who write about the enemy --> by nation --> during / after conflict --> by age, etc. The Dependency Wheel could yield a lot of information. Visuals that convey relationships could also be good, like the Language Network graph or the Concept Network Browser, or the various Wimbledon graphs.
