Meteor.uuid is not a function

Getting this out of the box with Meteor 1.6.1.

Exception in queued task: TypeError: Meteor.uuid is not a function
at Blaze.TemplateInstance.Template.timeago.created

{{createdAt}} works, {{>timeago createdAt}} fails as above.

how to use in js (not template)?

I use tabular table package for list view, so i want to custom the date field with timeago like:

TabularTable.Staff = new Tabular.Table({
    name: "StaffList",
    collection: Collection.Staff,
    columns: [
        {data: "name", title: "Name"},
        {data: "gender", title: "Gender"},
        {
            data: "startDate",
            title: "Start Date",
            render: function (val, type, doc) {
                return ...timeago...;
            }
        },
        {data: "address", title: "Address"},
........................
