I see in the to-do list, you are not sure about updating the icons.
They seem to work as expected and are clear. The only change I suggest is increasing the size to match the standard.

I recommend posting screenshots with some of the other main icons on display.

Also screenshots in other chromium browsers will show if it will be displayed in the address bar or in the extensions bar. Combined with the suggestion above this would probably only need 3 or 4 more pictures.
eg. in Vivaldi I see the icon in the address bar (very nice), and in the new Edge it is in the extensions bar just like Chrome (I haven't tried Opera).

What does enabling access to file URLs allow the extension to do ?

On a random website (https://admin.cbonews.gov/) that is listed by SSLlabs as 'T' for trust issues, your extension shows an A+.

1. Visit https://www.bahn.de/p/view/index.shtml
2. No icon is shown.

This is probably because one of the servers (46.18.63.152) doesn't have a valid certificate.

I have an example screenshot of a site where the wrong grade is shown.

You can clearly see the "B". When I clicked on the B to see the report I noticed, that the test was still running. The test finished with an "A-". After reloading the site https://mlp.de/ the correct grade is shown.

So, I don't know where the "B" came from. But since the test wasn't finished it simply should have shown no grade at all.

I think I saw this also on other sites but I haven't taken screenshots.

EDIT: Also migrated to Firefox and implemented other features.

I do want to say that this extension straight out DOS's ssllabs in certain situations, opening google docs sends 40 network requests for example as the on-change event triggers many times. Not yet fixed in my fork.

Instead of opening the SSL Grade menu, clicking on a site with a "No" icon should start a scan for that site in a new tab.

Thoughts?
