A simple zx inspired shell for Bun.

Important

Starting with Bun v1.0.24, you no longer need this package as you can use the built-in Bun Shell.

Install

bun add bnx

Usage

import { $ } from 'bnx'

const list = await $`ls -l`

const files = list.split('\n').slice(1).map((l) => l.split(/\s+/).at(-1))
console.log(files)

const branch = await $`git branch --show-current`

await $`mkdir /tmp/${branch}`

bnx's Issues

bun cannot import zx?

I was curious if bun can just import zx. Was this tried or did you create this to get the same API as zx?

Why can't i work with the string response from bnx

  const res = await $`git clone https://github.com/learn-anything/seed`
  console.log(res)
  console.log(res.includes("already exists"), "res")

On this code I get these logs:

fatal: destination path 'seed' already exists and is not an empty directory.

false res

This does not make sense. In fact res. str.charAt(0) returns empty. I am confused.
