Singleplayer server intermittently crashes, requiring hard resets.

Every so often, my world stops working. I don't mean that the game itself crashes, but suddenly I can't open chests, mobs stop moving, blocks stop dropping, etc. Things continue in that fashion indefinitely until I hard-reset the client. I cant even "save and quit" because if I do, I get stuck on the "saving world data" page forever.

Additional info:
I use Cinnamon Mint (Ubuntu) OS. My launcher is MultiMC. I have 9 gigs of ram allocated for Minecraft. I have no other major technical issues other than this one. My computer handles the rest of the game just fine.

Baubles are kept on death

Title. Lets you abuse death mechanics by dropping valuables into a backpack and then returning to base. Should probably be adjusted?

Suggest QOL changes to the Quest Book here!

What the title says basically. Theres probably a lot of small things in the quest book that could use some tweaks to make them better, suggest them here. Non serious replies will be removed/ignored.

Crash of client when placing Magma Shrine

Not sure if it's specific to my setup or not, but whenever I try to place a magma shrine, my client crashes. I've tried it 4 times.
I'm playing on a 4k monitor with a GTX 980 GPU in case those things matter, let me know if there's any other data I can provide.

chickens keep despawning

I have like 16 chickens and went to go mine and then they disappear, I have campfires around the fences and torches up but they still keep disappearing.

Unable to get water for drinking

As title. The only way to get purified water in a bottle involves an 'uncraftable potion' being cooked. No way to make a wooden bowl of purified water as I can't cook a regular water bowl anywhere.
I can't even fill a glass bottle with water from a source block of water, though filling bowls works just fine.
I'm totally confused.

this is what happened in more world options as soon as I was choosing the world type. when I was looking through the world options this crash report would happen after floating islands was revealed as an option

Crash Upon Placing Wooden Altars

Placing Eidolon's Wooden Altars crashes the game on dedicated servers. The same behavior can be replicated using Straw Effigies. In Singleplayer, the blocks do not get placed, unless questing has progressed far enough, which I assume is intended behavior.

Quark Wraith does not appear to spawn. Lost City Chests spawn Empty.

1: Bees are unresponsive. I placed a hive, I used one of the bee spawn eggs given by the quest book, and I placed down flowers near the hive. The bee flew into the hive, and has never exited since. I have tried different flowers, different lighting, and all else I know about. The bee never collects honey or makes honeycomb. It just remains in the hive and never leaves.

2: Soulbound vs Soulbinding. The quest book awards the player with a "soulbinding" enchanted book. This book can also be found in dungeon chests and etc. According to JEI, "soulbinding" is distinct from "soulbound," and only "soulbound" can be applied to items whereas "soulbinding" can not. I don't know if this is due to my own lack of understanding of enchantment mechanics, but isn't there usually a message that displays telling you the reason why a given enchantment cannot be applied? I see no such message.

3: Water bottles do not collect water. When I right click a water source block with a water bottle, the bottle briefly disappears as I would normally expect it to when filling with water, but nothing happens. No filled bottle appears in my inventory, nor does the empty glass bottle get removed. I have not tried using a cauldron yet, but I expect the result to be the same. Unless I am missing something, This issue renders potion-making impossible without cheating.

4: Mob spawn rates. Now I do not know if this is a bug, intentional design, or my own bad luck, but I rarely ever see mobs in the overworld that aren't the chilled or vanilla monsters. I can count on one hand the amount of times I have seen something from Alex's Mobs or I&F spawn. Aside from that, I have never seen anything from Mowzie's mobs or Quark (with the exception of foxhounds). Once again, I don't know if that is by design, but some of those mobs are required for progression in the quest book. The Quark wraith, for example has never spawned in the overworld or nether. I have also never encountered any pillagers that have spawned naturally outside of underground spawners.

5: Empty treasure chests. So far, I have only encountered this issue in one of the Lost Cities structures. There are a few times when I approach a spot where a treasure chest should be, but there is nothing there. After a few seconds, the chest will suddenly appear, but it will be empty when I check it. I don't know how to check tile data, so I don't know what should have been inside it.

Soulbond is broken

Soulbound seems to malke an item dissapear

when you die the chestplate isn't on your body when you respawn, and it isn't in your grave when you get the items back

Element holders are deleted on death

I crafted a fire element holder, and died because an evoker decided to spawn next to my fire node. Upon regathering my items, I found that my fire element holder was nowhere to be found!
I tested this again in a world with cheats enabled by /giving myself the holder then dying, and found that it dissapeared again!

Nether fortresses failing to generate chests and spawners

Easy to reproduce, simply go to the nether, find a fortress, and find a blaze spawn platform- no spawners.
Chests are clearly absent as well after checking multiple fortresses.

Blaze pillars and bastions generate spawners and chests correctly and consistently, issue is unique to nether fortresses

"Going Deeper" Not Registering

After entering the Nether and getting the advancement "We need to go deeper" the quest "Going Deeper" even upon clicking the manual detect button does not correctly register. Using cheat commands to revoke this advancement and then gettig it again also does not fix.
In addition to this the hardcore questing commands seem to not work not allowing the manual setting of this quest.

Apotheosis boss item crashes

Getting server crashes semi-randomly from Apotheosis - probably related to boss item generation. Used to get these on 1.2, they stopped when we upgraded to 1.3, we upgraded to 1.3.5 the other day and they're baaaack

We have about seven essentially identical crash logs, first few lines say

Hardcore worlds are converted to Survival on generation.

Hardcore doesn't lock difficulty, or limit respawns. On inspection of the world loading screen, the world (which should read as Hardcore) is instead a Survival world. Creative worlds generate without issue, so what could be causing this?

Snow can Pile on Magma Blocks.

Title. Not exactly a bug, but it may be different than vanilla because of realsnowmagic. We can likely add a rule to the config file changing it, similar to how snow can't pile on blue ice.

The first one is what the block actually is - the second is what the texture shows - and then the (word) is what mod each block belongs to.

Floating Silk Touch Shrine Upgrade (cant Destroy) (Elemental Craft)

blocks do not drop visible items when destroyed even though the item has been dropped

Disappearing Blocks

these are just a few issues that I am running into

Cold Resistance potion recipes are innacurate

Per JEI the cold resistance potion can be crafted two ways:
Three awkward potions and one ice cube in a brewing stand
or
Four awkward potions worth (100mb) and one ice cube in an automated mixer

The crewing stand will not accept the ice cube, and spits it back out once the dialogue window for the stand is closed (placing it directly back into your inventory instead of into the world)

Food Diversity re-adds hearts when server closes.

This can result in extraordinarily high heart values. Unsure why this occurs, potentially need ask the devs of the mod about it. May also occur in singleplayer, but have not found a reproducible way to do so.

Quest Book Bug: Impossible Quest Completion

Title. Discord User ItsLexa! reported "Neverending Armor" checks for incorrect damage value of 0b on manasteel armor. Minor bug, implementation should wait until quest book changes, as a whole, are near finalized.

Server errors when player dies or joins causing a brief amount of lagginess

Removing fragile glass makes the issue slightly better, decreasing the amount and length of lag. Still persists when removed- theorized that it's related to Champions.

LAN is nonfunctional.

LAN is nonfunctional. Servers run fine.

EDIT: Now that I'm not multitasking, LAN causes an error on the joinee's client, and if I remember the error correctly had something to do with incorrect biome information. More testing is needed.

Intermittant connectivity issue to server

Hello, this is a shot in the dark, but I am hoping someone will know how to help.
My friend and I are in the same house, with the server also in the same network, everything testing 40mbps+ between wirelessly connected computers.
Last week we were both able to play, but now when she tries to connect, the gets stuck on "Encrypting" and then is disconnected. The log says:

I've replaced all user specific UUID and names with NAME and NUMBER of course.

The port number after the local IP (10.0.0.34) is different each time she attempts to log in, I've seen at least a dozen different ports in that spot, and I've tried a gambit of troubleshooting. Direct ethernet connection, turn off firewalls, check port forwarding is working, end all background processes on her laptop, try a different launcher, and I've been troubleshooting this for roughly 8 hours now.

We are both still playing on version 2.0 and I got the server working on 2.0, and we've been playing happily for months until this started happening. Does anyone know why or could you offer any help? (We are planning on finishing our playthrough on 2.0 before moving to the newer versions, as it might dramatically change gameplay)

Datapacks load incorrectly sometimes.

Unsure how to reproduce, beyond starting the client, joining a world, quitting the client, and repeating. The error will either happen before the world gens if in singleplayer, and will mention Quark drips (from buckets?) if joining multiplayer.

TIMEOUT

It will not let me download the mod it will keep saying timeout downloading the mod and delete the mod.

Bookcase function is overly limited

The Bookcases added by the Charm mod do not accept any of the following:
Quest book, Lexica Botanica, Bestiary, Ancient Tomes, The Food Book, or any of the many other books which are included and used.
They currently only accept Minecraft books and Minecraft variants.
It would be very helpful for Quality of Life if the bookcases could accept all these extra books as well.

Odd NullPointerException occurs due to interaction between Better End and Antique Atlas on world load

My best guess without looking at the code itself is that the Ticking memory connection that Antique Atlas tries to make to pre-render the spawn region of the end? really doesn't like something in Better End. This bug makes the world unplayable, probably unless one of the offending mods is removed. This world has never even been to the end, either.
