A cross platform flutter app which generates different kinds of QR-codes, like a link or a payment request.

QR-code generator

The QR-code generator is an application which can generate different types of QR-codes. Currently the application supports the following codes:

• Text: encoding a text (like a hyper-link) inside a QR-code
• EPC (European Payments Council): payment requests

Platforms

The application is available for Android, Linux, Windows and the web. They can be found on the release page on github. The android app can also be downloaded on Google Play. I plan to support the Microsoft store and Linux snaps. The submission for the Microsoft store has been made and is in review. For Linux snaps I wait for the official support from the flutter team.

Contributing

The application is written in Flutter/Dart. And has no dependencies except for the standard platform dependencies as described by flutter. For more information on installing flutter and the necessary dependencies go to flutter.dev.

There are a few ways to contribute:

• Create a pull-request

Onboarding for text qr code

an on-boarding should be shown the first time a user creates a text qr-code so that he knows how a text qr code works .

Onboarding for styling

an on-boarding should be shown the first time a user styles a qr-code so that he knows what all fields do.

items that should be highlighted:

• data-module style
• eye style
• image
• background

Onboarding for epc-qr code

an on-boarding should be shown the first time a user creates an epc-qr-code so that he knows how an epc-qr code works .

items that should be highlighted:

• the input field (an note that it can contain formulas)
• the settings
  • IBAN
  • beneficiary name
  • other info

Wiki pages

Max length of qr-code encoder is 2953 characters but no error message is shown

Feature request: capture qr-code and reproduce it

Epc-input field shows more decimals after period than necessary. This causes input field to display wrong

Preview QR code for styling

A preview should be shown when changing the style of the qr-code so that the user knows how it will look.

Onboarding for app

An on-boarding should be provided when a new user opens the app so that he knows where to find the styling and different types of qr-codes.

What should be highlighted:

• different types of qr-codes
• styling menu item
• options to save/download, share
• settings of the qr code when present
