simple

simple is a theme designed for blogger using static site generator like jekyll, Hexo etc.

Especially for those who writes in both Chinese and English. The font-type setting looks really good when writers use Chinese mixed with English.

Supposedly, this could work with Japanese as well but never had a chance to try.

Story behind this theme

It has been long that using font with Chinese in web was a tedious and time-consuming work. It would be almost impossible to make different OS or devices to look the same.

iOS 9 has pulished some new fonts in Chinese and I decided to make one theme that looks good on iOS devices, at the same time, making it acceptable on computers using other fonts.

So mobile goes first, then the macOS.

Unwanted space after apostrophe

After every apostrophe (e.g. the one in "You'll") the template adds a lot of unwanted space, so you see something like the following:

spaces after apostrophe are too large

Words with an apostrophe get a large space after the apostrophe. I don't know what setting is causing this spacing issue.

Syntax ends up looking like this:

won' t
can' t
don' t
wasn' t

Code block background inconsistent for long lines with horizontal scrolling

Links in header still clickable on mobile even when header is collapsed.

1. Visit http://danielmoore.us on Chrome.
2. Open the developer console (Ctrl + Shift + I) and click the phone icon in the top left to enter responsive mode. Choose a phone like "IPhone X".
3. Click directly below "Daniel Moore" at the top of the page. An invisible link will be clicked!

(The same issue is visible at http://wild-flame.github.io/jekyll-simple )

I'm not sure how to fix this myself. Would really appreciate help.
