microBox

microBox is an Arduino library that provides a interface with Linux Shell like look and feel for Arduino applications. With microBox own commands and application parameters are made accessible to the user within a virtual Linux filesystem tree. The parameters can easily be accessed by Linux standard commands.

microbox's Issues

Was this replaced by any other Project?

seems to be quite nice, but the development has stopped 2 years ago. Why is this? Are there better alternatives out there?

prog_char on newer versions of avr-gcc

AFAIK it doesn't exist / is deprecated -- there's probably a preprocessor definition to check the version that the code is being compiled with, but with the latest Arduino IDE (I use 1.6.0) you'll need to use char PROGMEM instead.
For the time being, you can just place #define prog_char char PROGMEM at the top of your header (inside the include guard). It'll help with consistency if you keep using prog_char.
I like the project, by the way.

It turns out that avr-gcc is version 4.8.1 in the latest IDE. Just checked it.
