For normal DNS, if your client points to your dhcp server also for DNS, often that box will resolve hostnames for things connected to it by dhcp. But it's not always supported by the router.
Separately, the esp32 will announce it's hostname on mdns. You should be able to find it by lws-123.local or so, or use some tool to dump mdns messages and see it, eg, avahi-browse.
