Soakbot

A modular IRC bot written in NodeJS designed for open-source projects. Use one of the builtin modules, or write your own.

Configuration

Configuration is stored in a config.json file. If you're using the heroku-deploy.js script, then use config.deployment.json instead. There are 2 root objects: networks and channels. settings is passed to all the loaded modules, and networks is parsed by the bot to determine what modules to load in what channels.

See config.example.json for an example configuration file.

Global settings:

• github-token, an OAuth2 token for use with the GitHub API. Per-channel settings:
• github-repo, the GitHub repo to use when looking up issues. (e.g. waddlesplash/soakbot).

soakbot's Issues

Waterbot is not responding

Waterbot is not responding to any command anymore in #pdfjs. Could you take a look? It's not just some cases this time, it's not responding to any message with an issue/PR number in it.

Commas after GitHub URLs are not truncated

Even though "," is a valid URL character, it's not a valid GitHub repo character.

Waterbot does not respond to commands

This issue has been reported in IRC before, but it's happening again.

I notice that waterbot is called waterbot1 in the #pdfjs channel. If we enter an issue, waterbot does not respond. Do you have an idea what's happening with it?

Add bot for sugarlabs

Can you add the bot for channels: #sugar & #sugar-meeting ?
And, set the bot name to "slbugs"?
