The structure & level of information for each country is inconsistent. There are several unneeded and non-working references in the additional information.
Please comment on the proposed data input fields and approach to gather data on existing policies and updates. The Policy_update_form.docx proposal was sent to the EOWG list and is attached here.
Could be simply marking something "New" vs. "Updated" or giving a date per country or regulation when updates occur.
Need to update the content per today's existing policies.
Since the country sections are long, a "back to top" link would be helpful. Alternatively, if collapsible sections are used, such a link may not be necessary.
From Brent's comment Sept. 26:
I like the left navigation. It will make it much easier to get to the areas of the document that are important to the user.
How would this work within the current WAI site, which also has a left navigation? Are you thinking that this could replace that when you are on this page? And maybe there is a link at the top of the page that brings you back into the WAI site somehow?
Should content include whether or not this is voluntary or penalties involved (e.g. India govt. recommendation to use WCAG 2.0 that is not enforced vs. AODA with monetary penalties)?
Should content include in-progress regulations? If so, should we also note the impact, how far they are in the process, how imminent the completion is?
Users would like sorting capabilities to be able to compare countries. Some possibilities are:
Separate list? Or part of new announcements list?
Should we consider including local industry or other (web) accessibility policies too where applicable? Eg Australian Bankers Assoc
Please comment on the mockup sent to the EOWG list and attached to this email.
In the current page, the navigation has two methods, by 2 letter country code or by links in a nested list by country name. Both are contained in the body of the page which takes a lot of the top part of the page. Suggest a single country navigation method.
