Finder files are all black squares and cant see the text properly

hi,

on my wallpaper everything looks fine, but when i have the fidner opened, there are many things that don't work like they should. in the finder all i've got is black squares and no readable filenames, so that should be fixed i think.

im in Mac High Sierra Beta bytheway and it works like a sharm!!!

Inverted Blacklist AKA Whitelist Instead

I'd like to take an opposite approach to DoctorDark. Can we have a feature that will allow you to flag apps to have DoctorDark apply to? It seems that given the various problems that arise, it would be a superior approach to just not apply itself to any application unless specifically instructed to do so. That way we can work more sanely on apps as we go in terms of implementing dark functionality.

Unibox doesn't display properly

I think the right hand message display is not too bad, but the left message list needs to be inverted. The small icons around the message also need to be displayed a little better (more visible). Text could be made more readable at various places.

Fonts color are all black in the dark mode on MacOS 10.12

I tried MacForge and mySIMBL and also tried version 0.2.178 and 0.2.235 of DoctorDark but the result is the same as the picture above.

System: MacOS 10.12
Application: MacForge and mySIMBL

Names are not displayed in certain condition.

Finder crashes when copying files

First: Great work overall. I am experiencing the following bug though: copying files to another directory sometimes crashes Finder. copying a .app File to the Applications folder causes it to crash in 10/10 tries, blacklisting finder instantly fixes the problem, but then it flashbangs me again when it is night ;)
Providing logs, in case you tell me how, is not a problem of course.

Chrome Address Bar

Hi-
In Chrome, the address bar font is black and so is the address bar background. Inverting colors and greyscale settings don't fix the problem

Spotlight and Spotlight Menu icon is permanently dark, how to reset this?

Dark Background for Notes.app

Hey,

I have figured out how to change the background of the notes app:

1. Go to Notes.app in Finder, press "Show Package Contents", and navigate to Notes.app/Contents/Resources.
2. Open Assets.car with ThemeEngine or a similar app.
3. Replace the "paper" graphic with a dark theme.

These ^ steps ^ all ^ work, but the problem is that the text color stays black :(.

It would be nice if DoctorDark (or another tweak) could inject into Notes.app and make all the text color white :)

The Newest update makes the side with all the menu icons whited out when dark dock and bar menu is on.

Finder Issues

I have a couple of finder issues. Not sure where to look or if I can change the settings on my own but they are as follows:

1. In finder, the text in the right panes showing sub directories, and files under subdirectories is a very light grey. Is there any way to change the color of that? I would love it if I could get it with a black background and white text like it is on the Applications shortcut. If I switch to greyscale via accessibility, it doesn't help me.
2. In finder, when you try and show view options, the background that comes up is grey and the text is nearly the same color so you cannot read it. I tried inverting and greyscale again, and no dice

I really just wanted to use this for the Messages app because it's so bright.

But the main background doesn't turn dark despite the bundle. Is there a way to change it manually, or are you planning on implementing it?

it's not posible to set a background

My desktop background is black and is not possible to set a background.
maybe it's related to the use of two screens.

I think it DoctorDark is sweet! :)

how can I toggle DoctorDock on/off from the terminal? This way I can assign a hotkey to wrap it in script...

I'm a Github noob so if I should be posting things somewhere else or in a different format, please let me know.

I just wanted to say thank you for developing Doctor Dark. I learned how to code in 2nd grade (late 70s) and was an IT exec, but I was rear ended in 2014 and have suffered brain damage. I am significantly impaired as I can no longer count or do basic math. 60 minutes of programming and I have a hard time keeping my balance. 90 minutes and I am slurring my words. I had to stop driving because my brain cannot process that much information at one time. My eyes are also very light sensitive so I bought some Lifx bulbs and tune them to make it easier on my brain. I wear sunglasses indoors, even at night. I had to cover up my windows, and even painted my walls black. Doctor Dark enables me to recreate the color schemes I learned how to program with so my eyes/brain don't have to work as hard. Thank you for your efforts in making these features available as I would not be able to re-learn how to code without it. So thank you w0lfschild, and to all who contribute. If I can test or do something on my end to help, I would be happy to help in any way I can.

White text on Folx even after disabling it in the GUI

This Repository not support dark in finder?

whitelist instead of blacklist

There are far more app that don't handle this theme well than do. Which typically when a white list is used rather than a blacklist. Would that be hard to implement?

It'd be great to maintain a blacklist. Not sure where you would want this. Text file of recommendations? Default preferences?

FTR, GIF Brewery is not compatible. Sounds like @jeremybundgaard has a list (cf #5)

App won't blacklist

Despite blacklisting "CloudMagic Email", it still has issues with a black search bar. Seems like it won't recognize the blacklist.
