Blender 3.3 No modul named

so i install the addon and it shows up but atfter i click the chekbox it says

File "E:\Blender\3.3\scripts\modules\addon_utils.py", line 333, in enable
mod = import(module_name)
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'Blender-MDL-Exporter-2.83'

sometimes it shows

so i tryed to change the number of the folder then the number 2 dosnt show in the error log, then it shows 2.83, so
i change it back and then it shows me the correct error with 2.83...

Textures are coming out black

Hello,

I have imported an obj into blender, added my texture, and when exporting to MDL the object is correct and the right scale - but my issue is that the texture is black.

Not sure what could be the problem...

I tried debugging the script a bit but also couldn't figure out how to get it to print :(

Any ideas?

Blender 2.9 ?

Ok, its pretty obvious that this isnt frequently updated ;-) buuuut it would be super useful if this worked with Blender 2.8/9

Import with animation ?

Does this add-on import Quake 1 MDL with animation frames (and sets it up as shapekeys) and textures ?

If not, do you think you could add this functionality for Quake MDL importer ?
