It should be possible to create a copy of a whole or parts of a DataFrame by calling copy("new name") and copy("new name", list-of-columns) methods that will return a new DataFrame with respectively all or selected columns from the original object.

Is there any chance that we can overload the constructor with one additional option that accepts java.nio.file.Path for dataFileName variable instead of String type? So we can initialise createReader and createWriter with Path. The case we have is; for testing purpose we are using in memory filesystem (jimfs) and with Path we can write/read to/from virtual filesystem as we could leverage that constructor to use with Path apart from testing.

Can we have methods that directly tell us whether the DataFrame is empty or not instead of checking the rowCount?

I believe this line should have been:

ErrorReporter.reportAndThrow( "The number of elements in the header does not match the number of elements in the data row " + lineIndex + " (" + headers.size() + " vs " + elements.size() + ")");

instead of:

ErrorReporter.reportAndThrow( "The number of elements in the header does not match the number of elements in the data row " + 1 + " (" + headers.size() + " vs " + elements.size() + ")");

Otherwise it always "does not match the number of elements in the data row 1". I can fix this if it makes sense. 👍

DataFrame.sortBy() sorts ascending by default. Would be great to have an option to reverse that order.
