Transfer of user data files in /usr/viewtouch/dat to another Raspberry Pi can cause a program failure about viewtouch

ViewTouch recommends the Samsung Pro Endurance 32GB micro SD Card. It's typically priced at $10 or less. Other 32Gb microSD cards cannot be assured of having the same capacity as our recommended microSD card.

The noted problem in this issue can occur when copying the files and subdirectories in /usr/viewtouch/dat from a source which is a Raspberry Pi (or any other computer) to a target which is another Raspberry Pi (or any other computer). The target must have an existing /usr/viewtouch/dat directory which has user viewtouch as the owner of the directory.

A solution to this issue is to set the working directory to /usr/viewtouch/dat (cd /usr/viewtouch/dat) on either computer then individually copy the .dat files in /usr/viewtouch/dat to the other computer. If there are files in the any of the /usr/viewtouch/dat subdirectories, change to the /usr/viewtouch/dat/subdirectory, then copy * (i.e., all the files in the source subdirectory) to the target's /usr/viewtouch/dat/subdirectory.
