ONSRidgePlots.R produces a pair of svg files which replicate the beautiful vertical gradient-filled graphs from this analysis.

USStateDoDPlots.R produces a plot of the rate of Deaths of Despair (deaths from alcohol, drugs and suicide) by US state from 1999-2018, separated by cause.

EWDRD2019.R produces a variety of plots using the latest drug-related deaths data from the ONS.

The encode_pattern_params_as_hex_colour() function doesn't seem to be available in the svgpatternsimple package.

Do you know where I can find it?
