1. clock_gettime()

   • easy to use

   • supporting clocks

     • CLOCK_REALTIME

       System-wide realtime clock. Setting this clock requires appropriate privileges.

     • CLOCK_MONOTONIC

       Clock that cannot be set and represents monotonic time since some unspecified starting point.

     • CLOCK_PROCESS_CPUTIME_ID

       High-resolution per-process timer from the CPU.

     • CLOCK_THREAD_CPUTIME_ID

       Thread-specific CPU-time clock.

   • overhead: 0.1ms~0.2ms

2. rdtscp

   • more accurate when working on the single process
   • overhead: less than 0.1ms

Download and install

cd onepunch

sudo apt install cmake

sudo apt-get install -y libconfig++-dev

./build.sh

cd build/release

make -j4

Configuration and running

The runtime uses a libconfig file called ctpconfig.cfg. You can find it in the build/release/config/ directory. There are already some original config settings in the file and you can just use them.

After finish configuration, you can run the executable file ctp in the build/release/ directory via

./ctp

1. complete the trading process
2. measure the time cost
