memory chunks is to restrict memory usage, the second one, local retention, is for storage usage.
100000 should be ~ 500MB (ideal for smaler VPS)

Hi @roshu10 Just back from holidays. Have a look here - https://prometheus.io/docs/operating/storage/ Also, I would consider trimming the amount of metrics you are gathering.

@Berndinox Retention period will be applied on cached data or on permanent data ?
