enum-methods's Introduction

Enumerables Project

This is my version of implementing some of Ruby's Enumerable Module traversal and searching methods. I specifically implemented #each, #each_with_index, #select, #all?, #any?, #none?, #count, #map, and #inject. This is a project from The Odin Project.

Installation

Open your Terminal/Command Line. Navigate to the directory where your version will live. Type in the following:

$ git clonehttps://github.com/Vashiramusa/enum-methods
$ cd enumerable_methods
$ load "enumerable_methods.rb"

Pre-Project Thoughts

One thing I want to get out of this specifically is a better understanding of blocks and yielding.

Post-Project Thoughts

I developed a stronger understanding of yielding and blocks. I believe the only fundamental concept in Ruby that I need to practice/comprehend more is lambdas,proc and Methods.

enum-methods's Issues

Review Team 45 Helliums

Good work so far Vashira!

As of right now, your code seems ok. Here are some suggestions:

When using the test code within the file, work one method at a time and comment the ones that you already know are working fine, so that you can focus on working on the current method.
Using print statements when troubleshooting is useful.
On your my_none method, check the logic so that it returns false if any elements are true.
Add conditions for arguments, regex and classes to my_all? my_any? and my_none?

Keep up the good work!
