scislice's Issues

Error during uploading file

@VanHulleOne
I want to know whether scislice converts stl file into gcode or It coverts JSON file into gcode? We want to convert STL to gcode so that Our 3D printer takes commands and is able to print. If your program coverts JSON file into gcode so I want to know How would I convert my stl file into a JSON file??

And ty so much for this program, this helped me a lot for my collage project

Varying layer infill shift per layer

Hi there,
i was trying to use the layer shifting option in your Slicer, but couldt get it working properly.
My main goal was to shift half of the infill layers sligthly, so that the new lines sit in the Valley of the old ones.
We seperated the two Layer Parameter with a comma, but it didn´t work. All other Layer-Parameters worked in this way.

Thank you for your help

Importing Point

I believe I've downloaded all of the dependencies properly, but I can't explain this issue with importing the Point class from Point.py b/c it is successfully imported earlier from the same directory (in figura.py it works, in unittest.py it does not, see below).

Varying layer parameters per layer within a part

Hi there!

I stumbled on SciSlice when looking for AM g-code generation tools that give more fine-grained control over the extrusion process, and it looks awesome. However, I noticed that when slicing a part with multiple layers, the set layer parameters appear to apply for all layers - i.e. if I set an infill angle of 45deg, all n layers will have the same infill angle. What I'd really like to do is customize (either algorithmically or manually) the layer params per layer, i.e. infill angle of 0deg for layer 1, 10deg for layer 2, etc. Is there a recommended way to do this out of the box with SciSlice? Or would it involve making modifications to the way Figura is invoked when g code is requested?

Thanks!
