I've packaged this driver and added it to the AUR, with an additional DKMS package.

The DKMS package may be of interest to you (namely the Makefile & dkms.conf) in the repository.

Note: I haven't tested it yet, as I'm still waiting for my hardware to arrive.

I've managed to get the driver to crash. It was at a fairly random point, while using REAPER. There was a drum track and a bass track, going out to the same synth module, the drum track was on channel 10, and the bass on channel 1.

I'm going to try running REAPER in a VM because this way I can capture the output of the kernel panic, via a virtual serial port, and get some sort of stack trace.

Bitwig 4.1.6. ALSA via Jack.

Latency is actually considerably faster than windows.

Haven't tested other programs, but I assume they will work. Sending MIDI information over the nonexistent 6th, 7th and 8th ports on the device results in outputs of 3-4 random ports.

Not that it really matters since it's just MIDI but I can also confirm it works with a Roland JX-8P, Roland MC-303, KORG MS2000B, Meeblip Geode, and a Polyend Tracker. Also works through a powered USB 3.0 hub into a 3.1 port.

I have not encountered the kernel panic, but it's only been a day.
