Rules for contributing:

• Framework: The framework we are using is vanilla HTML CSS and Javascript to keep Time To Load (TTL) fast, contributing easy for new members and future proof.
• We suggest writing code for a github issue, and if you'd like to make a change, post an issue about it first so we can discuss it before beginning development.
• Contributions must be appropriate
• Changes should be small to easily pass code reviews
• Good programming practices should be used (ie. good variable names and comments)
• Code added to this repo is intellectual property of the programming club and is not open source however open source components that are used in the site are not owned by the club.

Contributions are reviewed by committee members and changes will be live a couple minutes after approval.

Shift static assets to a folder

Polluting the root directory with static assets will quickly bloat things up, and best practices are to house them in a folder.

Update minecraft server info

We moved to a java 1.20.6 server earlier this year but the Minecraft page still talks about the old bedrock server.

Add an animated background

An animated background to the page could add a nice feel and wow factor. Could be done with javascript and a canvas or with html and CSS. It shouldn't be too distracting either, maybe a moving and color changing gradient could work?

Change default hyperlinks to nice buttons

The hyperlinks on the home page are a bit ugly, would be nice if they were buttons with a modern style.

Add Favicon

Would be nice to use the club logo as a favicon.
