Perseus is a game level featuring a prison complex.

This map is a work in progress by Paweł “Pevel” Micek for the Unvanquished game project.

This map is meant to be edited with a level editor like NetRadiant.

spectator can leave the battlezone

In the hidden-hovel room (too bad there is no hidden hovel there anymore) and down to the pillar in pillar room next to alien base, spectator is tiny enough to leave the battlezone:

This issue is considered fixed when these 2 issues are:

  • hidden-hovel room
  • pillar basement

C8 black weird rendering

Lines only appear at the correct distance.
I also suspect the black backgound is not intended: the images there are transparent, and this lacks details unlike the other stuff in this map.

granger can build outside (4 known places)

In these two places, granger can build stuff right behind the fence (but not very far):

In the no-longer-hidden-hovel room, not only the spectator can go (see #1) but granger can also build an egg:

This last one in crusher room is a bigger threat. Previous spot are very vulnerable and useless, but this one can be used very efficiently. It makes no sense to put an egg there (or players will spawn right into the kill zone), but you can put defensive creep like acid tube while keeping them protected:

This issue is considered fixed when these 4 issues are:

  • corridor fence 1
  • corridor fence 2
  • no-longer-hidden-hovel room
  • crusher basement

disconnected navmesh

This map have several disconnected navmeshes:

Backside of alien base (fixed by #6)

Details of first problem, now fixed Here, no class can go through (no idea what prevents the navmesh to be generated though, it might be something on the map, or something from the generator): ![2022-01-02-170924_1366x758_scrot](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/1316300/147881985-f24abc9e-2bea-4048-9bc8-b1111ff16036.png) This is the most problematic bug, since this makes it very easy to humans to attack undefended alien base. Fixing it would also drastically increase the chances for tyrants to move of alien base.

Unconnected top of stairs

Tyrants can't go outside of alien base (this is likely due to the size of margins. Not that tyrants would not be able to leave anyway because there's a bug a bit after on that map with the handling of the stepsize by bots):

Some passage over the void

Small aliens and humans don't know how to reach the other side. (Tyrants are not affected, though, and human players do not need to jump to reach the other size, momentum is enough to avoid falling in the hole. I'd even say, it's almost impossible to use that hole, making it of dubious interest, a bit like some yocto's).

Note that all of those problems can be worked around simply by placing navcons.

Some solid metal doors can be shot through.

At least all three doors adjacent to the canteen can be shot through. The two small doors can be shot through even through their solid metal parts, not just the grilled part where it would make a little sense. The one large door can be shot only through its middle, even though solid metal meets there.

This is problematic in particular because rocket pods can aim and fire through these doors. If the grilled part remains shoot-through, then it needs missile clip so that the rocket pod doesn't.
