Cannot write unicode characters to lang files

I am using this API for one of my plugins and when I try to write a unicode character in the langfile it replaces it with a sequence of random characters. The file is saved in UTF-8 and I am using sourcetype-bukkit-yml

Add list support for sourcetype-gson-json

sourcetype-gson-json does not support string lists

Trying to get a StringList from a MessageHandler that uses the gson-json sourcetype throws an error.
The code

StringList messages = messageHandler.getMessages("path.to.a.string.array.that.should.be.parsed.as.string.list");

Throws the following

Spigot 1.19 relocate locale getter

Newer versions of spigot remove Player.spigot().getLocale() to put it into Player which conflicts with older versions like 1.8.8

Typo

I think there is a small typo in the README, according to me it should be "url 'https://repo.unnamed.team/repository/unnamed-snapshots/'", instead of "url 'https://repo.unnamed.team/repository/unnamed-releases/'".

Section where I believe the "error" is located.
