foodle's Issues

Remove passed dates in duplicated foodle

When duplicating a foodle, there does not seem any way to remove dates which have already passed. Clicking on a selected date which has passed does not have any effect.

Weekday in date header

It would very helpful to provide a weekday to each date of the header.
It's very hard to keep orientation on a large, e.g. monthly schedule ...

J.K.

No way to update the "See also" section

Foodle presents a "See also" section (upper right corner).
There is, however, no way to update this area in the current editing mode.

Expected: A field to add a link and a link-text.

Add support for Foodle Templates

Allow user to save a Foodle as a template, making it easy to create new Foodles similar to others.

May be instead of supporting templates, it could be an option to create a new Foodle based upon another one. (this will be simpler to implement)

iCal feeds for better calendar integration

I hate having to manually enter all the tentative possibilities from polls into my calendar so that I don't produce collisions with parallel Doodles and Foodles. I sorely miss an iCal feed like Doodle's which would allow me to integrate Foodle into my calendar automatically. Even though iCal feeds can only provide calendar integration in one direction (the other direction being provided by the Doodle smartphone app), it would still be a huge improvement. Right now Foodle feels a lot like pen-and-paper-scheduling compared with the integrated Doodle experience.

This depends on #33 so that after a poll has been decided, the tentative dates can be removed from the iCal feed and the final choice marked as such.

Persistent federated login = true cookie.

Right now an Foodle is anonymous or required login. The anonymous option should send users to login if Foodle knows that they successfully have authenticated in the past.

Removing old dates and adding new ones at the end shifts availability?

I think there seems to be a problem with dates. Let's suppose I start a Foodle with 5 dates:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

Two people respond and mark 'Monday' and 'Tuesday' as unavailable. Now I delete Monday and Tuesday, and add them at the end (i.e. the next week).

After this, their existing responses now claim that 'Wednesday' and 'Thursday' are now unavailable, instead of showing Wednesday through Friday as available and Monday and Tuesday as 'i' (i.e. not filled in).

There's a test Foodl that demonstrates this:

http://foodl.org/foodle/Test-Foodle-5437b

I marked Wednesday as unavailable. Now Friday is marked as unavailable.

That's not right, is it?

E-mail notifications new answer

Hi!
An option for email notifications after new answers have been saved, would make Foodle even more fantastic!
Cheers,
Jörg

Limit the number of responses per column

I had run at Foodle service some time ago and I had liked it but after some
time it turned out that it didn't cover all my needs.

Foodle is great for getting free/busy status in one place from group
of people. Then you can choose the best appointment/meeting date and
get those people know the date.

But knowing the free/busy status is only the first part from my point
of view. If I want to arrange not a meeting but rather some
measurement for the research I want people not to come at the same
time all of them. I want to let all attendants to choose one of the
dates offered.

So the fueature I suggest is to extend Foodle to be able to set
maximal number of "blocks" attendant may choose (most of the time 1 will
be used) and maximal number od attendants per "block" (if the block is
"full" it is no longer offered until somebody cancels).

If the description of the suggested feature is not clear enough
I'm ready to clarify it, just drop me mail.

Support for deleting answers/votes (by Foodle owner)

Please add a solution to delete answers of a foodle (for the foodle initiator).

Often public foodles contain old answers/votes that I don't wanna have included at the end. – So I need an option to delete that votes…

Thanks a lot!

Time slot reservation type of foodles

There doesn't seem to have a way to enforce a time slot to be selected only one user. "Maximum number of checked responses to this specific column" option do not work for that purpose.

Multiple and custom Calendars on Foodle

Hello,

As announced on https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/foodle-users/qiDL0n0i1bQ

Users of Foodle may now, on this url:

   https://foodl.org/profile-calendars

setup their own calendars, in addition to the calendar URL provided by your federation. This allows you in example to add your private calendar, a group feed of meetings you participate on, etc.

You can uncheck calendars to make them inactive; then Foodle remembers the URL for you but never uses data from it.

Most federation has not provided calendar url automatically. And those users has not been able to use the calendar integration support in Foodle - until now! Anyone may now setup their own calendars.

Feedback is welcome.

Is this possibility to manually enter external calendars abandoned?
The above mentioned URL is not reachable.

This feature is really interesting: as said in the announce, most identity federations do not provide automatically the needed URL for calendar that would help pre-filling the polls from user's calendar availability.

Best regards.

error foodle

Hello,

Simplesaml is ok, i have test it, but foodle cause a error
you have any idee

/var/www/foodle/config/config.php: Could not retrieve the required option 'entityid'

IdP origin country

How the country of displayed IdP is determined ? (sorry for bad English)

Ubuntu 12.04 Running Chromium

I can see the link when I produce a new foodle, but I can't cut it (to then later paste it). Neither Control-A nor the mouse work to select, Control-C doesn't work to copy.

Instead of ignoring erroneous input allow the user to edit

Assume I mistype a time, or use a different formatting. Currently foodl just informs you of all the fields it ignored, and leaves the edit page.

This is especially annoying when there is a large number of inputs and one or all of them get ignored, forcing you to start over or check which ones got deleted. Instead you should stay on the edit page, highlight the problematic fields and allow the user to edit and fix the entries.

Possibility to create foodle for 16 days by entering time range.

I just created a Date and time slot foodle for about 16 days and hat to click the
"add one more date column" button 16 times.
Then i had to assign 16 dates to the 16 slots.
This is somehow time-consuming and uncomfortable.
I would really appreciate it if there was a "add date coloumns for days from x till y"
function.

Correction for Welcome message for anonymous users

In the welcome email message for anonymous users (Welcome to Foodle / It seems like you have been using Foodle for the first time.) the text
"If you do not have an user accout, you may create one for free, by using the Feide Guest IdP."
could be changed to
"If you do not have a user account, you may create one for free, by using the Uninett OpenIDP (Select Norway from list of providers)."

Feide Guest IdP is no longer listed in the DS. "Guest" could be added as a search keyword or description of the Uninett OpenIDP to help when searching for it in DiscoJuice. The default country selection for users outside of Norway causes this IDP to be hidden.

Use mdui:DisplayName if it exists instead of OrganizationDisplayName

Currently, our (DARIAH, entityID="https://ldap-dariah.esc.rzg.mpg.de/idp/shibboleth") project's IdP is represented on the foodl.org list as "Gesellschaft für
wissenschaftliche Datenverarbeitung mbH". However, this only is the Computing Center's name that hosts our IdP, among many other IdPs. In the Foodl list, users only can tell from the logo that this is the DARIAH IdP. It would be much nicer if the software used the mdui:DisplayName, which is set for our IdP correctly, instead of the OrganizationDisplayName of the organization that happens to host our project.

Foodle logo and eduGAIN metadata

As Peter Schober reports, Foodle's metadata in eduGAIN contains a mdui:Logo pointing to https://foodl.org/res/foodle_logo.png, but that URL no longer exists since Foodle changed to use bootstrap.

Foodl in other languages

Hello i'm connecting to Foold.org using my Federation (Belgium), the attribute Preferred language is correct (FR) but the interface is in English.
How to get Foold.org in french ?

Many thanks,

Steve.

Re-introduction proper translation of Foodle

Foodle was more or less reimplemented in version 4.0.

Translation needs to be added again. Reuse as much as possible of the old translation, and move translation into transifex portal instead of the simplesamlphp one.

Closing the poll & notifying participants

Doodle has a choice to close the poll, decide the date (or option, whatever it is) and notify the participants automatically. Could that kind of functionality be added also to Foodle?
