There should be a shortcode that allows you to list images that should be skipped in the gallery.

Keywords should auto-link to the filter results

There should be a tool that allows you to interactively constuct a shortcode with menu help.

a preview should only show a couple of pictures that somehow indicate that there is more for the Excerpt field in wordpress

something like

date="2016-01-01,2016-01-02" as a series
and
date="2016-01-01:2016-01-02" as a timespan

Ideally with a 1-20 selector so that not all filenames have to be shown.

Currently resizing the image removes all metadata. We could store it and re-add it after the resizing to preserve it.

Settings should be in a different array so that there is no accidental naming conflict

The lightbox is the wordpress-internal thickbox. There should be a keyboard navigation and the arrows should be on the edges instead of the description

when limiting the number of thumbnails, the link on the last thumbnail should be able to optionally link to the main post in case we are in the excerpt

Make a sanity check for locations where the name of the location is the same but the GPS data is different.

The admin should be able to chose what is shown to users if there is no data for a given date.

we allow lightbox and photoswipe, add "none" to options.

This is helpful if recent thumbnails are different size than older ones.

right now the filters work on GPS/Keyword per image and the results return images.
There should be an option to return posts in case the posts are auto-tagged.
