Review website builder functionality

Detail

Linked to #16, in order to understand the best method for designing the website we should understand what is possible, and cost implications of different providers.

This includes understanding whether we can pay for e.g. 5 years of hosting before the end of funding in March.

Providers include:

  • ReadtheDocs
  • Jekyll
  • Wordpress
  • Webflow/Wix similar

Any others?

Restructure based on deliverables

Detail

To sync up the repos and project board with the website, we are converting the DARE funding proposal into an easier to read MarkDown file with labeled deliverables. This links into a slight restructuring of the website to make it more accessible to others.

Atm we don't have a new design, but want to start adding content - once we have the content we want we can start to how a website will shape up!

Create skeleton for the website design

Detail

Before we decide what method to use for the website (ReadtheDocs, website builder, WordPress, raw code), we should layout design plans for the website.

The simplest thing would be to wireframe the ideal design for the website, to discuss with the CMWG.

Actions

  • HS to develop MVP and share with group for review

Unable to join the Slack community

Hello

Very interested in joining and learning more about deploying TREs, especially in the public sector, but I'm unable to join the slack channel because I don't have a .ac.uk email address (and I expect my public sector email will block anything from slack as it is banned).

Am I able to join?

Many thanks

Upload funding proposal to website

Detail

We should add the funding proposal to the website, or a reference to it from the one pager (see this issue) for transparency.

Actions

  • Decide where the proposal will live (directly on the website, or as a resource in one of these repositories)
  • Make it findable from the website
