Game crashes at Nintendo logo. I have tried a clean iso and prepatched with
pre-patcher-r17
What console are you running Swiss on (Wii/GC)?

What version of Swiss are you using?

What disc was in the drive if any?

What device was the data being loaded from (SD/HDD/DVD/DVD-R)?

On a different note, why do some games work compressed and others don't. Can
the prepatcher be used on an iso after compression or do I have to patch a game
before compression?
Also would it be possible to include an ini file or some kind of config file
for swiss that will allow it to startup without asking the user if they want to
use disc/sd/ide. i.e. Program starts up and goes straight to sd or ide?

What step(s) will reproduce the problem?
1.Booted and tried an SDML card via SD media launcher
2.Later swapped to an SDHC on both SDLOAD/swiss itself
3.All default settings for NTSC-U + patched disc 1 w/ the pre patcher posted @
the site via CMD line (also tried it clean and shrunk).
4.Also for some reason SD boot 0.4 RC1.DOL worked better for me w/o the
<-interrupt> patch (EX: C:\Users\Victor\sd-boot-RC4-prepatch.exe ToS1.gcm
-audio). Still doesn't last during events and freezes after extended period of
gameplay :(
What console are you running Swiss on (Wii/GC)?
NGC v1.2 bios (I think) and no modifications, just SD media launcher/SDLOAD via
AR108.DOL.
What version of Swiss are you using?
The new one of course: swiss-0.1-r47
What disc was in the drive if any?
SD Media Launcher
What device was the data being loaded from (SD/HDD/DVD/DVD-R)?
Dattel's SD media launcher adapter/SDML/mini DVD + I swapped the SD on either
SDLOAD/swiss for an SDHC.
Please provide any additional information below.
Tried both FAT16 and FAT32 formatting as I would for SD Boot. Also I did a
defrag using Power Defragmenter 3 and even a "Triple Pass Defragmentation"
(basically does the same thing thrice). Works perfect on a burned mini DVD via
GCoS for disc 1 @ the very least so the checksums are perfect (so yeah, that's
not the prob)
Also has horrible loud bleeping during slow SD reading, actually the sound is
not as bad as playing Dolphin whenever loading on Fast and in smaller
areas/dungeons (rare during battle usually happens on the world map/Rheaird
flight). Tried compressed GCM, original clean .GCM (exactly 1.35GB, no patch),
and the original .GCM w/ the specified pre-patcher.exe (re-named .exe to the
readme's example) in CMD (EX: C:\Users\Victor\sd-boot-RC4-prepatch.exe
ToS1.gcm). It even said "File Already Patched" so no prob there, but I got
errors most of the time unfortunately whether I patched it successfully of not
:(
Defragged EVERY time that I attempted this. Whenever it froze I got that stupid
error where my NGC says to "..Plz refer to your instruction Booklet.."
(something along those lines, so it didn't neccessarily crash to a black screen
(this happened only once on GCoS 1.5 after several hrs of playing, I thought it
was my laser, but maybe it's Nintendo's fault?).

Switching the engine to Ocarina would have the following advantages:
- There are a lot of user generated codes already available for Ocarina
- It's possible to convert Action Replay codes to Ocarina codes, there are
tools and guides for this already
- With an usb gecko, there wouldn't be anything additional required to allow
users to create their own cheats
- (not sure if it's limited to Ocarina) The prepatcher could also patch the
hooks in additional executables, so games collections or games with .elf
files(007s for example) would also work with it
Disadvantages right now:
- Only the very old code handler from Gecko OS for GC 1.06 is ready to use, the
new one from Gecko OS 1.9x would needed to be ported. The old code handler is
not 100% stable and is missing some of the newer code types available for wii
- Development on the engine itself would be possible, but creating a fork
sounds like a bad idea
- (not sure if it's limited to Ocarina) The code handler uses the memory at
0x80001800, so the code from swiss would need to use some other memory. Well
the new code handler is available as source, once ported, it could be change to
use another memory location if required

1. Inset Eternal Darkess disc retail disc into the drive
2. Boot Swiss via "Wii Swiss Booter" on a Wii

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The audio streaming does not work, instead the game shows "an error occured" at
the time the 1st audio stream would be played. Booting the game, ejecting and
reinserting the disc BEFORE the error occurs "fixes" the problem.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1st official beta, 0.1r2
Please provide any additional information below.
From my work on NeoGamma i know that the audio streaming is very picky when it
comes to which drive commands are executed in which order. Maybe this is a wii
only issue, and getting audio streams to play correctly on a wii is more
complicated than it is on a gamecube.
I'll try to find out which code changes might be necessary to fix this later.

I'm not sure if there are games that will work without further patching if the
moter is stopped, but i guess that's the case. For maximum confort + maximum
compatibility i suggest a white and a black list for this. A stop motor
auto(yes)[max comfort], could then stop it for all games except the ones on the
black list. The other options would be auto(no)[max compatiblity], yes and no.

It would be nice if games like Zelda Ocarina of Time Master Quest could be
directly booted without going through the game's menu. I read somewhere that
.tgc files are convertable to .gcm files somehow, which means to me that they
might be directly bootable too(with not too much work...).
Although it would be nice to boot .tgc files that are embedded into .gcm files
without extracting them at a PC, i vote for playing .tgc files as if they were
.gcm files.
In the end this would not only be a more comfortable way to boot certain games,
but it might also make it easier to use cheats on them or video mode patches.
Considering that these games should already work and this would be more like a
cosmetic change, i guess this will get the lowest priority.
