Thanks @Eh2406. I'll review these next week and make sure we're actually trying to set values on copies of slices in those cases.

It could be the case that we're doing it correctly (partially or fully) and that we should just suppress these warnings. Worth a look either way.

Hi @Eh2406, I took a quick look at these. In a few places, I changed syntax to using the preferred Pandas .loc method in the developer and urbansim_parcels libraries and pushed up new branches (called copywarning).

I believe that this one is specific to the SEMCOG implementation:
drop_buildings['year_demo'] = orca.get_injectable('year').

The last instance is for urbansim; we can incorporate changes there down the line along with bigger updates.
