Extract layout from the script, allow for custom CSS?

Hey Tyler,

If you are still actively developing / using this, I'd like to send some more pull requests which do two things:

  1. Allow for a custom CSS file, so the styling can be changed without having changes in the index.html overwritten when updating from github.

  2. Allow for some kind of (customizable) templating, rather than embedding the layout in the Javascript.

Do you have any strong opinions about approaches for doing this?

User Commit Option

There ought to be a way to make the widget for just one user, instead of a project.

Perhaps if one leaves the repo argument out, it will just read a user's commits?

2 small customizations

Hi folks,

Great job with this. We've been trying to promote github usage across government. This is a nice help and the use of github pages and iframes is just right.

Please pardon my ignorance, but I had a couple questions about the current implementation and if you (or others) are game to lend any thoughts, I'd be obliged.

  1. I tried to employ the same tool for an entire github account instead of just one repo (by removing the repo parameter) but no luck. Is there currently (or would it be hard to have a means of saying 'all repos' instead of just one).

  2. Would their be a ready means of allowing the above but for multiple accounts (or organizations) at the same time. E.g. ?username=nasa|fcc. One example of a similar effort - http:://gsa.github.com/federal-open-source-repos/

Thanks for any thoughts and great widget. Please keep it up.

Gray B.

IFrame not working

Hello @TylerLH,

I came across your project because I was looking for something similar to what you are offering. I decided to give it a try.

I can indeed view it perfectly fine when entering the URL, e.g:
http://gh-widget.plugins.k0nsl.org/?username=k0nsl&repo=spammer-kartotek&limit=10

That is working just fine. However, if I include it as an IFrame on a external site such as this one then it doesn't work:
https://spamdb.k0nsl.org/page/k0nsl

Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong here?
