They also only gave 3 days between announcing and breaking every installation…

When you question this approach the response is that it is free, open source and managed by volunteers, which I guess is fair enough.

regardless it remains a unique and important tool and an update for truecharts will be a good thing.

Just because it's free and managed by volunteers, doesn't mean you cannot put minimal effort in.

Certainly should be updated/replaced someday indeed.

" and manually update their config file to get things working again"

ohh such beautiful incompetence.

If not updated soonish, I would at least suggest delisting pmm in its current broken state.

I don't get this, what is broken?

What you're basically asking is us writhing a new app (copy) for Kometa, which is totally valid.
But why would PMM be inherently broken right now?

From the discord announcement channel linked above:

As of 4:30 PM CST on 04/25/2024 all existing Plex-Meta-Manager installs will fail with unintuitive errors. All users must now transition to using the Kometa image as per rebrand-guidance

We apologize for the short notice on this.

I can confirm my PMM install is broken and by extension all current and future PMM installs via truecharts are broken.
by delisting you can avoid providing a broken image. Unless of course an update can be done soonish.

Can you find out the last working version for PMM specifically?
We can make something work to ensure it works as advertised on that version untill someone PRed kometa

As far as I know there are no working versions, they have broken all existing installs. I am on the latest PMM version before the rebrand, and it is broken.

there are server dependencies I think.

DId you actually try running it from our app or are you assuming this?
I see no changes in the container.

I am running the PMM truecharts app, it ran fine for >1 year.
App Version:
1.21.0
Chart Version:
6.9.14

I just force ran it, here is the log which is nearly empty because it doesn't actually run, it is just broken.

meta.log

So yes in theory all current truecharts PMM installs are broken

So the question is: what freaking happened?
As the containers aren't altered.

Chiming in because I noticed this yesterday while I was upgrading everything to Dragonfish. I agree, they did this pretty half-assed and should have kept a legacy working until those could make the switch. Right now it's making calls to plex-meta-manager scripts but they have all been renamed to fit the new Kometa naming scheme. I've updated my configs to reflect the new changes based on https://github.com/Kometa-Team/Community-Configs/tree/master/bullmoose20.

Basically, PMM just needs to be renamed to Kometa and updated to 1.21.1 in TrueCharts
