Considering it works fine for others, please file a support ticket on discord instead.
I don't think this needs developer attention.

Most people don't have this issue, so it's likely your setup (resolving DNS and/or redirects, highjacking domains, etc)
To be clear, the DNS thing was one case, but I don't think its all the cases. Still looking tho

That's not the truecharts version of tailscale. that's the iX version

@ksimm1 @stavros-k Apologies, I've been testing with both the Truecharts and iX versions of the Tailscale chart, as both fail the exact same way for me. I managed to confuse which was which in the screenshots when I originally submitted this here >_<
I've updated the original issue text above, but preferable, I can create a new issue instead.

@jimeh Did you manage to solve this problem? I've been getting the exact same issue ever since Truenas Scale Cobia has been out of beta. I tried both the iX and Truecharts releases of Tailscale, but both have been giving me the same issue as you. My server is on the last version of Bluefin because that's the only Truenas Scale release that Tailscale works on for me.
At first, I thought it was just an issue of the Tailscale chart needing to be updated for Cobia when that was new. But I have updated my server to the latest Cobia release each time a new Cobia release is available. Each time, I tried installing Tailscale (both Truecharts and iX versions) with no luck. I keep downgrading my server back to Bluefin to make Tailscale work again.

@maru801 sadly no, I've not had the time to dive into it yet. Interesting to hear it does work for you by downgrading to an older version of TrueNAS. Could be something with the k3s version, or how TrueNAS integrates k3s. Should be interesting to get to the bottom of.

Since @maru801 started an issue at the TrueNAS github with some info there, so let's see how it's resolved there -> truenas/charts#1874

True, I shouldn't assume it's just DNS, sorry been trained it's always DNS hahaha. But it's not a common issue therefore tough to pin down
