I didn't say that. Some tests are a bit messy right now, regardless if we would be using rspec or test_unit.

Oh come on, we both know that this is like me saying "barcelona has a better football team than Madrid" and you're saying "no, it's the other way round" - a total matter of taste.
For me, Rspec is a ton more expressive than test_unit and, right now, I am the only actively working on the gem, so it makes sense that the specs are as expressive as they can for me.
If in the nearest future test_unit advocates start contributing to the transitions gem I have absolutely no problem to use test_unit.
