Make createWriteStream and createReadStream more compatible with fs

An important option I'm missing in my use case is flags opts (a for append, w for write) as well as start and end for createReadStream similar to fs.createWriteStream and fs.createReadStream.

Here's my use case: I'm uploading binary data using HTML5 FileReader API over a websocket stream to the server which in turn is piped to createWriteStream; at any given time I'm keeping track of the chunk offset, so in case of connection error (or pause of upload) It should be possible to resume the upload at the point it stopped. Same goes for createReadStream, the stream is piped further to the browser, it should be possible to resume the download.

This is very important specially in the case of large files.
