TransTracks-Android

TransTracks is a transition tracking application made specifically for Transgender people. Is is based mostly around photo tracking at the moment.

The purpose of this repository is to help the community work together to improve the application.

Preparing for development

1. Set up a Firebase project to use during development
2. Download the google-services.json file from the app settings page in the Firebase console
3. Place the google-services.json file in the app folder
4. Make a copy of the secrets.properties.example file called secrets.properties

Rotation of images from galleries isn't always correct

Reported by a user in a review:

I love the idea of this app. However, when I take a photo, I often have to take it multiple times before it saves it. And, when trying to upload from my gallery, it tilts my picture into landscape mode automatically. If this were fixed, this app would be great.

Add tracking for medication

Sorry for the low Dr. Boo. I was looking for an app that tracks more than just physical looks with photos. I thought this would be a bit more intuitive. I would like to find an app that not only tracks all of your transition progress, but also has reminders to take meds and go to appointments. This was not what I was looking for. I got the name of your app off of reddit. I thought after reading the comments there would be a larger update with more features. Keep up the good work though!!!

Would be great to add an easy way to track medication, and perhaps set notification reminders.

More categories for photos

We have had a few people request different categories for photos. Whether that is more granular categories or another misc category. Not sure what to do here or how best to handle it.

Clicking on an image in the gallery should keep navigation

User reported issue from review, unconfirmed yet.

Scrolling through the gallery would also be better if clicking on an image didn't take you all the way back to the top.

Revisit the MVI implementation

The current MVI implementation isn't ideal. It can cause typing to be an issue on screens with text input.

Add reminders for backups

We have had a few people lose data because we don't save their photos to the cloud (for now). We do have a backup and restore function however it would be good for people to be able to set reminders to back up their data periodically.

Add ability to track vocal changes

The app seriously needs a feature to track vocal changes. What's there is nice, but for me, what I want to track most is my voice.

Would be good to track vocal changes into the app. I'm thinking recordings but maybe also pitch information? Not sure we want to put all that functionality into the app but maybe.

Add ability to put a note on an image

People would like to add notes on specific images.

Add font colour to the theming

Add font colour to the theming so that it can be changed as needed.

Add font customiser

Allow people to set their own font colours.

This can't be completed until after #12 has been completed

Reminders to take photos

Add local scheduled push notifications for reminders, with the user able to customise how often to get them.

Auto date using epoch date

Really useful, but lately auto-date function defaults all images to 12/31/1969 which is annoying.
