There should be a check button to accept the terms for beginners

The landing page is fine, but does not show an examples of competition categories such as Design

The page itself looks fine.
But there's a bug - I still haven't received a confirmation email 7 minutes after landing on this page.

Signed up with another email and it triggered both confirmation emails.
Now have two test accounts on Topcoder.

For debugging purposes, I have sent a test email from @gmail.com and @cern.ch to [email protected]. From both, it arrived within 2 minutes.

1. Could have some other popup stating account is activated instead of generic alrert popup

2. As just like new user is searching for challenge so he has to go through number of clicks, it will be better the number of clicks can be reduced to go to challenge page
3. It will increase UX.

Label - Nice to have

First page I've landed in was Challenge listing page.
It is nice to have guided tour for new users like certain UI elements and its usages etc. It's like discord channel guide tour when you visit first time.

Looks fine and quite clear.
Maybe make it a bit larger (a bit wider and bigger font) by default on desktop (2560x1440 scaled at 125% in my case)
Too much empty space for my taste

on the email verification page, the URL seems so long and bulky to the user, can not it be a mini URL instead?

The first heading is 'Transforming How The World Works'. When I read this my question is how is Topcoder transforming as how the world works? The page does not have explanation.

The next headings are 'We Are a Community' and 'We are a global Community of Inspired and Talented Individuals' The 'We are a Community' heading is redundant because the 'We are a global Community of Inspired and Talented Individuals' is more complete. However, when I first look at the 'We are a global Community of Inspired and Talented Individuals', I do not notice the people in the picture. The first thing I notice is a black background. Having a community picture is great but the black background overshadows it.

This section is great but the headings ' Competition & Gigs', 'Camaraderie, 'Opportunity', and Inspiration' do not give a community feel. I think this section should tell a story that encourages the user to register.

The user can access the challenges tab or thrive page or upcoming meetup page as they wait to verify the email instead of a thank you page. Though the user can be limited to register for challenges untill email is verified

For email confirmation why it's not the same style as the email newsletter, we got every week?

In the first page the arrow next to I'm THE TALENT gives a feel that I am the talent would you like to login or sign up.
Once when you click on sign up it again asks if you are a talent or a customer. Is confusing for a user with the arrow pointing to login and sign up

Loading page just went smooth on my browser with my under-averge world internet speed, the clue on every data that what we need to sign up are easy to understand for me.

but we got problem when I trying to connect with GitHub account, the result gonna be like this

1. gave error after filling all details( but still got the confirmation email)

The email should be sent to reset the password if the new user forgets the last password

When I click on the I'm the talent it navigates to the community page, I see the register now option but no longer the sign up now on the top. When I click on How it works option on the same page I don't see the sign up option there.
The user has to navigate back to find the sign up option

Challenge Detail Page looks fine,

Instead of having a sign up page it would be better if we have a pop up screen with the talent or customer option

It's not clear where the talent should sign up.
Back in the day, when I first signed up (2009), we used Topcoder as SRM competitions in University.
We were able to sign up directly by going to home page (if I remember correctly it was going directly to SRM platform back in the day).
I believe that "I'm the talent" should be bigger and much more visible (have a more contrasting background or something)

Go to the "How it works" page then >> "I'm The Talent" should be on the centre of the page.

In my page,
Challenge Listing Page loads about 12-20 seconds. I think this is performance issue and need to be optimized.

I believe first time users will leave before loading challenges being loaded.
It's nice to have challenge listing page is loaded within at least 5 seconds.

When I land into the topcoder page I see the " I'm the talent" twice. Both take me to the same page.

this page should have the hover hint/ tooltip on the details required?

TopCoder landing page is something confusing for beginners.
Let's assume I am a student and visiting the website very first time and wanted to know that which type of challenges and contests I can do here.
I am not able to find these things easily.

3. Refer to "Camaraderie"
4. "Camaraderie" should be a hyperlink which displays videos and pictures of Team Topcoder having fun
   

After clicking on activation link in my email, I'm taken to "Start your Topcoder journey" page.
It displays a choice between Gig work and Practice. Not the same page where I've started (home page), which is quite obvious
It's not 100% clear which does which. The short description is clear and concise for someone who knows Topcoder platform, but for a person that has just registered it might be confusing. Maybe increase the font for short description and add a bit longer description (couple of sentences) below.
Also, it's quite discouraging when a user is met with a choice like this. We, users of Topcoder, know that you can do both. So maybe mention something like "This is just to start you up, you'll be able to switch between the modes later on".
Otherwise, some users may abort registration process.

It's nice to have Login/Register via different social medias (facebook, twitter etc)

I believe it will be easy for newcomers to register right away

During the sign-up, the login page lands to an outage page

4. This page should be able to explain in simpler in terms as to how Topcoder works. Maybe through a Demo video or a small writeup or

Looks fine but, I think it's nicer if there it's "GO TO COMPETE" not "GO TO PRACTICE".

Now, this is much clearer than the landing/home page for a "Talent"
It's very simple and clear way to distinguish between the customer and a talent

Somebody who is new to Topcoder will not know what Gig work is. I didn't understand what Gig work was until I explored more.
It'll be great to have more details as to what Gig work is

1. Password details font and text color could be better in accessbility prespective. Better to read.

Thank you page it's too boring. It's would be nice if can be designing with a more attractive look, like a hero image or something else. And can make a different themes for customers and talent.

1. good to have filter in country name, better than just scrolling around all countries name

When I try to register with existing handle, I get "WE'RE SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG WHEN ATTEMPTING TO SIGN UP."

Error message should be descriptive, Like "handle is already used".

1. Register successfully as a new user >> takes the user to the registration confirmation page >> click on the browser back button > see that the user gets "oops! something went wrong" message on the page.

After clicking the confirmation link, the system directs me to the challenge listing page,
I should be directed to login page or the page where the I should directly enter the username and pwd, instead of directing me to the challenge listing page and then by clicking on the login button.

the header and contents are quite understandable. The theme of the homepage is quite pale, the color looks so dark for me but when we slide it down it look fresh and clean

1. I'M Talent Link in the home Page should work same as the first page when we click sign up page.

1. From Topcoder.com, click 'I'm the Talent' to reach the community landing page.
2. There is a registration button mid-left, next to 'Gig-Work' opportunities button.
3. There is Login button at top left.

For better UX:
-- The button at the top left could say Login or Register.
-- The bottom registration being next to the Gig-Work button sort of implies that one would be registering for gig-work if they
clicked on that button, not to become a member.

It's would be great, if don't have to do re-authentication each time I visit the challenge page list. It's nice to have if we don't have to re-authentication in the same browser and the same device. In a different browser or another device, it's okay for re-authentication for security reasons.

I redirected to challenge detail page, it looks fine

2. There should be more info on home page
3. It could have direct the challenge page link on first view.

Go to Community/learn page by clicking on the "I'm the talent" option >> see that it has the Signup button missing which makes it less consistent for the user
