Collect data from each class concurrently.

It would seem the cleanest place to execute this would be in the *_poll functions, allowing each class being collected to be done roughly in parallel. This is going to be somewhat important to make timestamps align sensibly.

Given historical behavior of the threading library, it seems like multiprocessing is probably the way to go here. At one point the threading library executed only one thread at a time but switched between them quickly. This is okay for things like network daemons, but for our purposes it might break our expectations.
