Mohammad, I've noticed you typed "Verdena" instead of "Verdana". Maybe this is why the system font is being displayed instead of the intended font?
I tried to replicate the height issue without success as well.

This is working for me using the new version of NUI that uses categories instead of subclasses. You'll want to upgrade to that, as it offers a lot of other improvements, too. Here's the new way to use custom style classes. If you're still seeing these issues in that version, definitely open up a new issue and we can take a look at it there.
