6845-tests's Issues

crtc-oct19-2019 test differences

VL6845 Master tested with CUB, HD6845 Master tested with CM8833. *TV0,1.HD6845 Master VIAs are VL6522-O2PCVL6845 Master VIAs are GS65SC22P.

LATCHE - display flickery on VL6845, maybe like it's flashing on/off at 25 Hz. Steady on HD6845. Test hangs in both cases.

LATCHF - info message disappears immediately on VL6845, leaving screen blank with flashing cursor. Message stays on HD6845. Test hangs in both cases.

(Off topic, but for completeness: LPSYNC lightpen lo range seems to be 134-137 on a Master. Same on both CRTC types.)

PHASE2 - produces ~20096 on HD6845, as per B, more like ~22016 on VL6845.

PHASE1N - produces ~61954 on HD6845, as per B. 14846 or 14850 on VL6845.

PHASE3A - ~20032 on HD6845, as per B. ~20000 on VL6845. (this test leaves the display in an odd state)

PHASE3B - ~20160 on HD6845, ~22050 on VL6845.

(Off topic: R0=1 produces 18162 on a Master, both CRTC types.)

R5FUN - no blank line between 16 and 17 on VL6845.

VSIRQTM - both values=1 for HD6845, both=255 for VL6845. (Didn't check the code, but maybe the VIA type makes a difference?)

XTRAL - ~18948 on HD6845, ~19008 on VL6845

cursor_r11 test failing

Tom, I've been doing some exhaustive testing of the current dev version of BeebFPGA, and I've hit what looks like a broken test case.

The cursor_r11 test just shows a blank screen for me.

Tried on:

  • real Master (Hitachi 6845)
  • BeebFPGA
  • beebjit

(using the ssd included in your ssd directory)

In beebjit the following is logged:

./beebjit -0 6845-test-cursor_r11.ssd
info:audio:device: default, rate 48000, buffer 2048, periods 4, period size 512
info:audio:sub-period size 86 time 1791us

R7-POS test failing

Tom, I've been doing some exhaustive testing of the current dev version of BeebFPGA, and I've hit what looks like a broken test case.

When I run the R7-POS test it just reports File Not Found

Tried on:

  • real Master (Hitachi 6845)
  • BeebFPGA
  • beebjit

(using the ssd included in your ssd directory)

Licence is GPL v3, or, at your option, any later version. Should really mention this somewhere other than here, though.
