Hope this helps, if you want to fix this locally just for yourself you can fork the project and run
npm i --save-dev [email protected]To explain what happened, you have webpack-dev-server installed globally, which is webpack-dev-server version 2, compatible with webpack2, which has a different structure for configuration objects, and the options were made invalid due to the command searching in the node_modules folder for a webpack-dev-server launcher, which it failed to do, and then fell back to your global version.
