When Toto is speaking on the phone, the hotspot for interacting with him is still on the tattooing chair.
One hotspot that works too well: When returning to the boobytrapped bone waggon, clicking on the dynamite will actually make Manny go there and defuse it, skipping the entire "defuse the trap" part.

I'm not sure if I'm missing something here or if it really is a bug:
When the demon asks its questions, the latest number on the board is supposed to be the correct answer. The answers to choose from are always one to four.
(In the image, 3 was the first number to be shown, so it isn't the correct answer).
When I load my game, the mouse starts behaving weirdly. Any interactive spots are in completely nonsensical places. Like the icons are changing in wrong places and when I click, Manny goes off into usually lower screen space.
The same thing happens when I switch from windowed to fullscreen or vice versa.
This basically makes the game unplayable without stock controls, unless I play from the very beginning to the end, in one session, without ever loading a save or switching to/from fullscreen.
Trying this modification using the demo data files doesn't seem to work as it crashes when trying to start game. I have all the files set right including the update and even the patch from the official residual distribution. Log mentions "WARNING: Could not find bitmap cursor0.tga!" though not too sure if this is the real cause for crash.
When arriving at El Marrow (the "pumping tree" in the petrified forest) after first retrieving the key to the burning beavers, the Bonewaggon just drives through the picture without halting and disappears to the right. No further actions possible, though "F1" still works and game can be saved and loaded.
So far not tried to reproduce. Will post if reproducible.
EDIT: Couldn't easily reproduce the event, but got a different error: When returning with the key, on the central clearing on the way to El Marrow, the Bonewaggon with Manny and Glottis just disappeared after the Audio "I'm not going back to that town" (or something like that).
I was trying out the new v0.7 with the beaver dam fix and as i was playing Grim i wanted to save so i don't lose track but as i save it stop running and was frozen so i had to use Task Manager it get out (Because i was on fullscreen) so i thought maybe it was the fullscreen that did it so it try it again but windowed mode and it still did not save Please help

It seems that you did not include a required DLL in your package. Either you need to, or the instructions need to be updated to include how to get said DLL.
This is my 1st time playing the game. When I went through the door in the forest that leads to the fire beaver damn, after the CG cutscene, the beaver runs away from Manny, all the way to the opposite side of the damn from where Manny was, and then stops, locked in a running animation. The cursor was in the X shape, and I couldn't move Manny around or do anything. From what I understand, the beaver is supposed to run towards Manny and chase him out. This is halting my progress. Thanks for all of your work!

Playing Grim Fandango on ResidualVM wih Grim Mouse 0.7 mod, game crashed short after entering Domino's room (early start of the game), when I tried to change the automatic message of his computer. Clicked one option but the first one was selected, after it I tried to click the option I wanted but the game crashed.
Now game crashes when trying to load the savegame, with both the modded ResidualVM and the genuine ResidualVM 0.2.0.

At the scene in the petrified forest with the creepy key. Manny won't go right on the path to get back to the main forest, he just goes straight up, but there doesn't seem to be any clickable areas to make him turn right. I have to use the keyboard here in order to make him move. If I turn him right, I'm able to click on the screen to make him move to the right.
The hotspot only seems to be wonky when you're on foot, as I tried it in the Bone Wagon, and you can get past that part perfectly with a mouse when you're riding it out.
A really minor glitch: If you stand in front of the elevator on the Cafe level and double click the "exit" icon to the left and up, Manny enters the elevator again and rides it back to the Blue Casket.
"I have a bug/crash problem thing, when i try to use the the inventory game crashes to desktop, I've tried using the old keyboard controls, still same thing happens. I checked an older savegame and the inventory works, but if you play it from there anywhere to the point when you enter "Cat Races" using inventory will crash to desktop. If you also try to use it anywhere else on the map after that point crash is still there."

I can't load any savegame created in grim_mouse 0.4 in higher version (0.5 nor 0.6 nor 0.7).
The wheelbarrow scene seems to have trouble with moving with the mouse. I can't find any hotspots to move the wheelbarrow forward or backward.

Can't select poem verses using mouse while in Blue Casket. Dialogue options work fine until starting the poem. Selection works using keyboard.

I use a Dell 7000 series laptop and would love to play this mod, unfortunately the display doesn't automatically scale the resolution to the image - resulting in a very small screen with a large black border around it. The latest version of ResidualVM implements an option to scale the resolution accordingly.
I'm not sure how active development is on this, and I'd like to have a look at it myself if I have the free time - which I don't right now. Any idea of how complex it would be to merge the master changes back into this branch? Full disclosure that I haven't really done much more than pull the current code and start doing merges, but without some background knowledge of how it all works it might take a while...
Mouse mod v0.5_git
If cat race photo is viewed directly from inventory (via left click), the inventory menu lays over the photo. When pressed outside the inventory, inventory closes but the cursor is just big X.There is no way to exit viewing the photo.
Works fine if you first take out the photo from inventory, then look at it (inventory closed) via right click. Can then be exited only via escape button.
(First, thanks a lot to making this... playing Grim Fandango with mouse is an amazing experience. Here's my feedback for the begining of year 3:)

Probably nothing to do with the mouse control, but with the VM:
The game end credits just flicker in and out, most of the time the screen is black. Music plays fine. Alt-Enter to reduce full-screen to window immediately terminates the program.
That's my test-and-fun run for now. Incredible job with the mouse control! THANK YOU! How about doing "Alone in the Dark" next? Just kidding :) ... mostly
I think Toto is missing a hotspot when he's on the phone and Manny wants to give him the anchor motif to get at Lola's photograph. Works manually, though.

When i go into the level with the beaver dam, a cut scene happens but Manny moves in a different direction and then it shows a movie cut scene where the beaver chomps at the screen and then all of a sudden the beaver go to the top of the screen and then the game locks up and i can't do anything Please help
There are some areas where you cannot move to by clicking, but you can still walk to them manually. I noticed this glitch in the following areas:
Another minor one: Year 3, beach at the far side of the crane. After pulling up the ship, the exit-hotspot to the beach where the ship lies does not work, since the scoop blocks the direct way. Manually leaving the scene works.

If I select the software renderer, this mod is not working correctly. There are two main issues:
-If I ask Manny to move by clicking on a free region (ie. not hotspots, normal pointer) the program stop with the error "hitting normal at 90 degrees!"

Year 3: At Chepito, on the way to the pearl, I found it impossible to get his lamp after first exhausting all conversation options (and taking one round trip with him).
The only way to proceed was to load a previous game and grab the lamp during the conversation.

Took me a while to figure out what was going on here, but from walkthroughs of the original, a cutscene is supposed to trigger after this line (when opening the gate to the beaver dam with the key). This never happened for me, the line ran as expected, but no cutscene. Same happens after a reload.
By this point (since arriving at the dam) I had been using keyboard control, since my hotspots became flaky (though I recovered them by saving and reloading).
Win7 64bit in case that's of interest.
You cannot choose dialog options anymore in version 0.6. Not with the mouse and not with the keyboard. It worked fine in 0.5. Dialog lines also don't highlight yellow anymore when hovering the mouse over them. You can test this in the very first dialog in the game with Eva.
The Status Window adds the following output when selecting a dialog line:

If you equip the key and then click the right or left mouse button, Manny will just say "It's locked". But, if you click enter instead, Manny will unlock the door.

Putting the rag from the drawer in the kitchen of the mechanic-demons into the inventory (instead of immediately using it with the oil barrel nearby) leads to a (repeatable) crash to desktop next time the inventory is opened.

This is probably an issue on my end as nobody else has brought it up. I'd still be great if someone could help me troubleshoot.
