eue's Issues

Add party list

There should be a page to view all European Parties and a page for each individual European Party.

The page of each European Party should include

  • a map and statistic (maybe a table) representing their share in national parliaments by color.
  • a map (not sure wheter a statistic here comes in helpful) in which member states they are in government (add an option for minority governments aswell)
  • maybe similar things for comparable sub divisions, besides NUTS. Such as Austrian states (NUTS 2) and German states (NUTS 1).

Head of State text (hosText) is synced

The Head of State text (hosText) is synced across pages. This can be seen when navigating from AT to DE using the sidebar, where the hosText stays the same, though DE is not assigned one.

Map placeholder same size as map

The map placeholder should be the same size as the map to reduce big layout changes.
The placeholder should be on the server side and with a button to load the map. This should at best reduce the initial load.
Maybe the button choice could be saved in localStorage or as a cookie.

Current state:

  • Button on map
  • Button choice saved in localStorage or as a cookie

Pagination component

There should exist a general pagination component (maybe with options to filter) to sort long list like elements. Such as - currently one of the only use cases - parties.

Add mermaid to MDX

Add the option to use Mermaid in MDX.
Try prerendering the MDX to svg/html, maybe?

Add spinner to Map placeholder

Add a spinner to the loading animation of the map placeholder. Though only visible for a short time, it'd improve the design a little bit

Add elections

Territorial authorities - by future extension maybe parties aswell - or to be more exact their bodies (eg. Parliament) should have the possibility to view elections.
This shall include the abillity to

  • view compositions of bodies at different times
  • compare bodies (graphs, maybe pie diagrams if possible)
  • (if available) view/compare election results in "constitutencies"
