Hi there, I'm Håkan Edling

I am a Microsoft MVP in Developer Technologies and work as a software engineer at Optimizely. A lot of my free time goes into developing and maintaining Piranha CMS, an open source CMS framework for .NET Core which you of course can find here on GitHub.

Besides programming I like to:

Add pre-formatted paging links to PostList

To simplify theme development. Add the current paging links to the PostList. This should include:

• First page
• Previous page
• Links to the five closest pages
• Next page
• Last page

Whether the theme wants to render a pager or just older/newer links is up to the developer.

Add admin panel

Add admin panel with the following features:

• Based on the latest Bootstrap 4.x
• Should be routed at /razorblog
• List posts
• Add/edit post
• List comments
• Possibly views for adding authors/users

Add sitemap generation

Add sitemap.xml generation

Add media support

Add support for uploading media files.

Purge post from cache when a comment is posted

Otherwise the CommenCount shows the incorrect number of comments.

Add feed support

Add support for RSS and ATOM feeds

Move certain settings to the database

Certain settings are not good to keep in a config file as they are subject to be changed after installation or by the editor. These include:

• Blog Title
• Blog Description
• Page size

Move these into the database so they can be changed during runtime.

Convert all DateTime fields in the database to UTC

This is to simplify displaying dates for different time zones

Add media scaling

Add basic cropping & scaling features like in Piranha

Post.CommentCount includes not approved comments

Should only include the actually approved comments.

Support both Markdown & HTML as Body

It should be selectable if the Body should be in HTML or Markdown.

Admin panel

When can we expect the admin panel?

Add post author

We need an author entity for posts with name and email.

Single content region or block based body

Should we keep the single markdown based content region, or redesign and go for the block based content we have in @PiranhaCMS? This features a more Gutenberg style of creating and editing content.

Add support for comments

Add support for local comments including service support and async loading of comments.
