event's Issues

Timer queue should use Int64 instead of Double

Neil Davies reports:

I note that you are using 'Double' as the abstraction of the current time of day (your 'now') - there is an issue with this - as time progresses the error increases and as you are basically subtracting a (small) difference between two (relatively large) numbers the absolute error increases."

Registering twice on same file descriptor crashes process

Whenever I register two callbacks for the same file descriptor - for example, one for read and one for write - my process crashes. Please see this for an example program that exhibits this behavior: http://gist.github.com/359411.

This is the ./configure output for event: http://gist.github.com/359419. I'm running this on Mac OSX Leopard.

Here is the output from the attached program (after connecting to the open port with telnet):

$ ./EventCrash 2000
Before crash
EventCrash: <<loop>>

The dtruss output is here: http://gist.github.com/359433

In the referenced example I register once for read and once for write. However, I see the same behavior if I register twice for read and not at all for write.

I'm working from the latest master (git SHA1: f629d).

Let me know if you need any additional info.

Thanks!
