This is the release of the SystemC 2.3.0 Class Library.

                IMPORTANT

1. This is the release of SystemC 2.3.0. This release contains bug 
   fixes for SystemC 2.2.0 as well as adding IEEE 1666(tm) compliance
   features.

2. This release is supported on the following platforms for which it has
   been well tested:

    o 32-bit Linux (x86) (CentOS 4; Fedora 14,15; Debian 5.0) with
      GNU C++ compiler versions gcc-3.4.5 through gcc-4.6.2
    o 32-bit Linux (x86) (Debian) with Clang C++ compiler version
      clang-2.9
    o 64-bit Linux (x86_64) (RedHat RHEL4, Debian 5.0) with
      GNU C++ compiler versions gcc-3.4.5 through gcc-4.3.2
    o 64-bit Linux (x86_64) (Debian) with 32-bit GNU C++ compiler version
      gcc-4.3.2 (./configure --target=i686-linux-gnu)
    o Sun Solaris 2.9 with GNU C++ compiler version gcc-4.4.6
    o MacOSX with GNU C++ compiler versions gcc-3.1 through gcc-4.2.1
    o 64-bit MacOSX with GNU C++ compiler version gcc-4.2.1
    o 32-bit FreeBSD 7.4 with GNU C++ compiler version gcc-4.2.1
    o Windows 7 SP1, Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 (8.0)
    o Windows 7 SP1, Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 (9.0)
    o Windows 7 SP1, Microsoft Visual C++ 2010     (10.0)
    o Windows XP Prof. SP3, with Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (10.0)
    o Windows XP Prof. SP3 (Cygwin 1.5.25) with GNU C++ compiler
      version gcc-4.3.2
    o Windows XP Prof. SP3 (Msys 1.0.16) with MinGW32
      GNU C++ compiler version gcc-4.5.2

  This release has not yet been tested on the following formerly
  supported platforms and may no longer work as expected:
  
   o Sun Solaris with SUN C++ compiler
   o HP-UX 11.00 with HP C++ compiler
   o GNU C++ compiler versions prior to 3.3.x   (all platforms)
   o Microsoft Visual C++ versions prior to 7.1 (2003)

   When reporting bugs please specify the following information (if
   applicable):

     1) SystemC version 
     2) platform, compiler, flags 
     3) description of the problem 
     4) steps to reproduce the problem 
     5) compile/runtime warnings and errors 
     6) code sample, not more than 100 lines to demonstrate the problem 

   Note: All bugs will only be tested against the latest publicly available 
   version of the product. 
   Note: All C++ compilers that SystemC supports have bugs of different
   degree of severity. We cannot fix those bugs. Please report them to
   the compiler vendor.
