I'd like to add Russian-speaking communities, but they're all in the telegram.
Slack is not popular in Russia.

Can I add telegram channels?

I think add more channel from the different countries?
For instance ,different programming languages?

Hi, I would like to put some local Slack channels from India and some of them are the GDG groups.

The link for Charleston Tech channel in South Carolina does not work. It times out and returns an error. I have attached a screenshot.

URLs should point somewhere an invite can be obtained.

I just clicked through about 20 links and maybe half of them were gated communities, SSL expired, or domain does not exist.

Would it be helpful if I made a PR requesting to remove each of these?

We have a Slack for the community of developer here in France (Strasbourg).
Could I add it to your list?

Looks like this was done on purpose but there is a ----- added before country name when we are linking to sections. This doesn't allow us to jump to a specific country.

For Chicago tech:
The link to https://chicago-tech.slack.com/join is not active. I haven't found an alternative path.

For Chicago Tech Diversity Initiative:
The link throws a 404 error. I found this alternative-

When trying to create accounts in some of the spaces, they need "workspace administrator" invitation. I couldn't find a quick way to find this information for some of the channels (one e.g. https://techseattle.slack.com/?redir=%2Fmessages%2FC045K4QLR%2F)

Would it be possible to get this information added (may be slowly added over period of time)?

First: I love this resource! Thank you for compiling it!

Wondering if it makes sense to think of this as Tech Communities and expand from there. For example, I have found that a number of communities migrated from Slack to Discord over the past couple of years, so I could see listing those too.

Additionally, there are online communities that might deserve a mention (e.g., Dev.To)

Happy to make a PR if you're interested. Otherwise, if not, I may create a similar repo and reference this one as inspiration / back link so that folks can find the "full universe" (or as far as we know of it 😄 ) of tech communities.
