When I worked with "Третья книга Царств" (Eng: 1 Kings) I found a missed space:

"чтобы ходить вОфир за золотом", must be
"чтобы ходить в Офир за золотом".

also for some reasons I see only 52 verses in the last chapter, but there must be 53.

I see that in json verse 32 is missing!

I recently used the data from this repo to build a mobile bible app and wondering how to submit my project for showcase.

I think it would be great to have more Bible verses, especially for the English version. Because right now it only has BBE and KJV. It would be good to add. Thanks

When I tried to load the JSON file of the KJV, I get a parsing error. I wasn't able to find the source of the problem but it fails with multiple tools, e.g. jq and python -mjson.tool.

Try:

$ cat en_kjv.json | python -mjson.tool

Is it possible to add other versions of english bible. I would like to request on New International Version, New Revised Standard Version, New American Bible, and also The Living Bible. And also the Filipino Bible Version. thanks 👍

Thank you for sharing this. I noticed (by accident) that "1 John" only has 3 chapters. It should have 5 (according to other sources).

I ran a test on the json versions, 1 John (in all versions tested) are missing chapters 4 and 5. This is the only book that seems to not have the right count (check all chapters and everything else was correct). Have not checked the xml versions.

Addition to my last report: I see that ru_synodal.json is just corrupted. Any place where symbol " supposed to be there are missing words!

I was wandering if it would be possible to have one sample of these JSON Bibles in the Italian language.

186,974 lines of JSON (took me months to compile (using the KJV as my reference)).

Example:

I repeat this for every book in the Bible (every book has at least one verse, etc.). Only Psalm 119 has 92 verses and above.

In the English KJV bible, in JSON format (i.e., this file https://github.com/thiagobodruk/bible/blob/master/json/en_kjv.json), there is an extra verse at the end of Judges chapter 5.

The extra verse is "And the land had rest forty years."

I checked online in a couple of places, and it appears there should be 31 verses. E.g., see

How to use this script? I have VS and python installed. Kindly guide me to scrap a whole bible version in xml file. Kindly help
