🌐 The Tox Website

This project aims to provide a simple yet useful promotional website for Tox. I found that the current website is not user-friendly nor gives a strong brand image to Tox. So I decided to start a fresh brand-new website, written with React, and to design illustrations that convey the right message. Branding is an important part of a project, as it permits to build a community, to deliver a message and to give people more choice.

Also, this project tries to address many issue we had with the old website such as OS detection, layouting, localization (i18n) and design.

😛 Translating

This project uses Crowdin to manage translations, you are free (and encouraged) to contribute by localizing it in your very own language!

• Get started localizing the project

🔬 Compiling

Before anything, you need to clone the repository and to install required dependencies.

# Clone the directory as `toxclient`.
$ git clone https://github.com/Tox-Client/client.git toxclient
$ cd toxclient/

# Now install the dependencies with Yarn:
$ yarn
# Or with NPM:
$ npm install

You can use Yarn or NPM for the following step, depending on your preference.

# Using Yarn:
$ yarn start

# Using NPM:
$ npm run start

# Using Yarn:
$ yarn build

# Using NPM:
$ npm run build

I currently work on this project during my free-time, but also during my work-time. As I'm my own boss, I take work time to work on personnal projects that I really believes in. But during this time, I don't win any money. I'm not doing that for money.
